What is included in a full PTE Academic mock test

Every mock test mirrors the real exam - the same three parts in the same order and the same 22 task types, including the two Speaking tasks Pearson added in August 2025.

Speaking in the mock test

The mock test opens with Speaking, inside the same Part 1 block as Writing, exactly as the real exam does. It covers Read Aloud, Repeat Sentence, Describe Image, Re-tell Lecture and both 2025 additions - Summarize Group Discussion and Respond to a Situation - with the real preparation and response times.

How a PTE Academic mock test runs

One overall score on the 10-90 scale plus the four communicative skills, with every task you lost points on listed underneath.

PTE Academic mock tests

Each mock test covers all four skills using the current PTE Academic format: Speaking and Writing in one Part 1 block, then Reading, then Listening, up to about 2 hours 15 minutes in total. Both Speaking tasks Pearson introduced on 7 August 2025 - Summarize Group Discussion and Respond to a Situation - are included with their real timings, so nothing on the mock test is out of date. You can take the full test end to end or open just one section if that is what you want to focus on. Every section is scored automatically the moment you finish, with a breakdown by task, so you can see which task types are costing you points before you book the real exam.

PTE Academic mock tests - frequently asked questions

Yes. Every mock test uses the current 22 task types, including the two Speaking tasks added on 7 August 2025 - Summarize Group Discussion, with a discussion of up to about three minutes, 10 seconds to prepare and 2 minutes to speak, and Respond to a Situation, with 10 seconds to think and 40 seconds to answer. Both are also available on their own in practice.
