In the Writing section, you will answer 12 questions to demonstrate how well you can write in English. There are three types of tasks.

Example (Write an Email): Email to a magazine editor about a submission form issue; ask about the status.
Example (Academic Discussion): Participate by giving reasons and asking follow-up questions about class topics.
